Attributive forms

Als je zegt 'de actuele situatie' of 'een actuele vraag', gebruik je 'actuele' vóór het zelfstandig naamwoord.

With definite article: de actuele situatie; "Dit is de actuele situatie in het nieuws."
With indefinite article: een actuele vraag; "Dat is een actuele vraag voor studenten."
Without article: actueel; "Actueel is dit onderwerp belangrijk."

Predicative form

Na 'zijn' of 'worden' gebruik je altijd 'actueel': De informatie is actueel.

Comparative

Als je iets vergelijkt, gebruik je 'actueler': Dit onderwerp is actueler dan dat onderwerp.

Base form: actueler; "Dit probleem is actueler dan dat probleem."
With "dan": actueler dan; "De sportnieuws is actueler dan het politieke nieuws."

Superlative

Voor de beste of nieuwste informatie gebruik je 'actueelste': Dit is de actueelste versie van het verslag.

Attributive: de actueelste informatie; "Dit is de actueelste informatie over het evenement."
Predicative: actueelst; "Deze gegevens zijn het actueelst."
