Attributive forms

Als je zegt 'de blije hond' of 'een blije vrouw', gebruik je 'blije' vóór het zelfstandig naamwoord.

With definite article: de blije; "De blije hond speelt in de tuin."
With indefinite article: een blije; "Een blije persoon lacht vaak."
Without article: blije; "Blije kinderen zijn leuk."

Predicative form

Na 'zijn' of 'worden' gebruik je altijd 'blij': De hond is blij.

Comparative

Om te zeggen dat iemand gelukkiger is dan een ander, gebruik je 'blijer': Hij is blijer dan zij.

Base form: blijer; "Ze is blijer dan gisteren."

Superlative
