Attributive forms

Als je zegt 'de normale prijs' of 'een normale situatie', gebruik je 'normale' vóór het zelfstandig naamwoord.

With definite article: de normale; "De normale prijs is laag."
With indefinite article: een normale; "Ik heb een normale dag gehad."
Without article: normaal; "Het is normaal om te lachen."

Predicative form

Na 'zijn' of 'worden' gebruik je altijd 'normaal': Het weer is normaal.

Comparative

Met 'normaler' vergelijk je twee dingen. Bijvoorbeeld: 'Dit is normaler dan dat.'

Base form: normaler; "Dit is normaler dan dat."
With "dan": normale; "Hij is normaler dan de normale mensen."

Superlative

Met 'de normaalste' beschrijf je wie of wat het meest normaal is.
