Attributive forms

Als je zegt 'de strakke broek' of 'een strakke trui', gebruik je 'strakke' vóór het zelfstandig naamwoord.

With definite article: de strakke; "De strakke broek zit goed."
With indefinite article: een strakke; "Ik draag een strakke trui."
Without article: strak; "Strak is de nieuwe mode."

Predicative form

Na 'zijn' of 'worden' gebruik je altijd 'strak': De broek is strak.

Comparative

Als je zegt 'strakker dan' vergelijk je twee dingen: Deze broek is strakker dan de vorige.

Base form: strakker; "Deze broek is strakker dan die."
With "dan": strakker; "Hij is lichter dan zij, maar strakker."

Superlative

Als je zegt 'de strakste', geef je aan dat iets het meest strak is van allemaal.

Attributive: de strakste; "Hij heeft de strakste spieren."
Predicative: strakst; "Deze jeans zitten het strakst."

usage:'Strak' kan ook gebruikt worden in figuurlijke zin, bijvoorbeeld voor iets dat niet veel ruimte laat.
